For being a successful one needs to know Negotiation Skills. As a preliminary step one should know following five points before speaking to a person:
1. To whom is he going to speak?
2. What he has to say?
3. What is the venue i.e. the place where one is to talk to a person.
4. What is ones relation to the person going to be talked with.
5. What is time of talking?
For a more complicated and elaborate deal e.g. between Big companies and between governments, Knowledge of negotiation skills is a Must.
BUYING COMMON THINGS
Almost everyone buys something everyday for one house or for personal use. Vegitables and fruits come at the top. These two items have to be bought on daily basis under hygienic considerations.
But mostly people buy these items on weekly basis on account of modern storing facilities e.g. Refrigerations. But groceries i.e. cooking oil, Sugar, Soap and washing powder, spices are bought mostly on monthly basis.

Most risky is buying a used items e.g. a bike. Once I bought A Used 125 Honda. I contact one of my friend and then with a mechanic. What the mechanic wanted to provide me was a vehicle with duplicate Registration Paper. The original papers were lost by the 1st owner. At long lost I had to buy the bike directly from the dealer of the used Vehicle. I had to pay three toughsand rupees in excess of what I consider to be right price of the Vehicle.

Selling things is not difficult for the shopkeepers. They know the art of selling very well. As you know the joke “The Successful Salesman is the One who sell a Refrigerator to an Eskimo inhabiting the North Pole where it is frozen all the year round.”

The ability to know the right time for selling or buying is A Million Dollar Capability that come only after long experience and a sort of Intuitive Outfit.
